Happy Father's Day!
Trey and I are so lucky to have such a great dad/husband in our lives. I love seeing Trey drop everything he is doing when Ethan walks in the door. Trey's face just lights up when daddy gets home. It has been hard to have Ethan gone so much with law school and now the bar prep but I'm so thankful he is setting such a good example of hard work and endurance for Trey. Despite how long his day has been, he always wants to come home and play with Trey before he goes to bed. He usually gives Trey his bath at night so I can have a little break. Trey loves it and I love it! Thanks for all you do babe, we love you!

18 Months!
I can't believe my baby is 1 1/2 years old! I used this picture despite the fact that his shirt is making him look like a hunch back because it captures his personality. He is just about to run from his daddy because he loves being chased. That look on his face is definitely saying "catch me if you can!" He loves games and he loves to laugh. He makes me laugh everyday. Despite how old he gets he will always be my baby. I love him more than I thought possible. Ethan got me a sweet book for mothers day about a mother and her son. I love the song that the mother sings to her son throughout his life and I definitely feel the same way. It says:
"I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living my baby you'll be"
We love you Trey Man. Happy half birthday!

May Happenings
There have been a lot of great things happening for our family this month. First Ethan GRADUATED from Law School!!!! I am so proud of him for all his accomplishments and his dedication. I've said this before but I really had no idea he would be so successful in law school. That sounds mean but I really don't mean it that way. His mom and I laugh about it because we both thought he would make it through and graduate but he definitely exceeded our expectations and truthfully I think he exceeded his own as well. He received several awards at graduation including a dean's award, law clinic award, and of course an woody award for being in a bromance with some of his close friends!! The second I heard the word bromance at the award ceremony I knew Ethan would be a part of it :)The picture below shows all the members of the bromance. Trey and I are lucky to have him as a dad and husband. The next exciting thing is that we moved to VEGAS!!! Yay! I can't express how happy I am to have so much family around not only for me but for Trey and my future kids. I love that Trey is surrounded by cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. I was fortunate enough to grow up with a lot of family and I really had a great childhood because of that. It's also nice to have baby sitters so Ethan and I can actually go out for the first time since before Trey was born. I also love not missing out on weddings, babies, farewells, homecomings, blessings, barbeques, and all the other things that go on with my family. I told Ethan I would be happy in Utah or Vegas but I just really wanted to be by one of our families and the job opportunity happened to be here. We both feel blessed and thankful to have a job and be around family. And last but definitely not least my sister found out she is having a BABY GIRL!!!!! I'm so excited to have a second niece. We've been doing a lot of shopping for this little miss already. I can't wait to meet her in October. In the meantime I'll be helping my sis work on the nursery. To sum up...I LOVE this month!

Gateway Discovery
Ok so I'm way late posting about this but what's new. Back in February Trey and I took a trip to Utah to visit my In-laws. His Grandma Thomas can't go too long without seeing her only grandchild :) While we were there we went on a play date with our good friends Crew and Ashley. Ethan and Crew's dad Brad have been close friends for basically there whole lives so it was fun when we found out we were both having boys and they would only be 3 months apart. Ashley knew some fun places to go in Utah and so she took us the Gateway Discovery Museum for kids. It was a hit with the boys - so much to do and explore. We loved it and can't wait to go again.

Spring Break
Last week was Ethan's spring break and even though we have a ton to do to prepare for our move to Vegas, we also wanted to have fun with Trey and do something we haven't done yet in Albuquerque. Ethan and I don't really consider ourselves outdoors people. Don't get me wrong we like certain outdoors activities like going to the beach, swimming, watching outdoor sports and so on. What we don't really like is hiking, rock climbing, camping, bugs, and dirt! So for those reasons we haven't been to the mountains here in Albuquerque and I would have been fine never going if it weren't for Trey. He is an outdoors, get dirty, rock loving kind of boy. I knew he would love going to the mountains so we hopped in the car and made the drive to the Sandia Peak. He loved every second of it. He got to play in snow for the first time since both times we were in Utah this winter there was no snow! While Ethan was running from bugs and I was watching for bears (there were warning signs I swear) and trying not to get dirty, Trey was climbing tree stumps, collecting rocks, jumping in snow, and running through trees. Yes our boy loves the outdoors and I'll do my best to let him have as many experiences as possible even if I have to get dirty! Here are some pics of our adventures. Oh and his hair is crazy because he fell asleep in the car on the way there which made it look kind of funky, plus he needs another cut.

So far behind
I have not blogged in forever. Life is pretty busy with an active toddler and a husband in his last semester in law school. Also my old Mac broke. Luckily my sweet husband got me an iPad for Christmas but blogging on an iPad isn't as easy as a laptop. We got to spend time with both families over the last few months and we had a blast. I will do some separate posts on those trips soon. Trey loved playing with his cousin Piper especially and we can't wait to move to Vegas in two months and spend more time with his cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. He is growing up so fast and we love him more that anything. Here are a few things he is doing at this age that I want to remember: - He loves playing with rocks and dirt...seriously those would be his favorite toys. I find rocks all over the house from when he comes with me to take the dogs out.
- He loves watching Curious George but will only watch it while he lays on my chest and rests his head on my shoulder...probably the sweetest thing ever.
- Another of his favorite things is watching the dogs play fight...he always gets in the middle of them to join in the fun.
- He loves eating vegetables, especially corn and beans - Obsessed with water. Every time he finds a cup he runs to the sink or tub because he wants to fill it up with water. I can't wait to take him to the parks in Vegas that have splash pads.
- Blows us kisses every night before bedtime and after the kisses he claps.

- He does something we call the blind man...it happens right before bet time when he gets so tired that he starts acting drunk. He will close his eyes tight and start running around the house laughing hysterically. We have to chase him around to make sure he doesn't run into corners!
